A Florida mother and her 22-year-old son admitted to having a years-long affair, after authorities were called to their home for a domestic violence situation.
Christina Clemens, 46, of Lakeland, called police and claimed her son struck her, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said on social media in a post Sept. 16. While talking with investigators, Shane Clemens said he had been having the relationship with his mother since he was 18.
“That’s when we asked mama, ‘Have you been having sex with your son since he was 18?'” Judd said.
Christina Clemens replied, “only about 100 times,” authorities said.
Florida husband unaware of wife’s affair with son
When investigators contacted Clemens’ husband, he said the couple was “happily married.”
He was unaware his wife and her son were having sex together. Although, the unidentified husband did tell detectives he thought some behavior was odd.
Judd explained what the husband said when asked if he was aware of the mother-son relationship.
“He said, ‘No, I absolutely was not. But I think I am a little suspicious that they used to go in the master bedroom and lock the door,” Judd said.
Charges Florida mom, son face for alleged affair
Christina was charged with one count of incest and one count of living in open adultery, according to records. She’s being held on $5,250 bond.
Shane Clemens was charged with one count of incest and one count of domestic violence battery, touch or strike, and is being held without bond.
