Diamond & Lile has welcomed attorney Dustin W. Metz to the firm, where he focuses his practice on probate and trust administration.
“We are pleased to welcome Dustin to Diamond & Lile,” said Laird A. Lile of Diamond & Lile. “His extensive experience with Florida’s court system, particularly his work involving probate proceedings, brings valuable knowledge and perspective to our trusts and estates practice and the clients we serve.”
Metz assists clients with the administration of estates and trusts and the legal and procedural issues that arise throughout the process. He has worked extensively on statewide court initiatives involving judicial administration, procedural reform and access to justice, and has contributed to major court reports and proposed procedural changes.
Prior to joining Diamond & Lile, Metz served with the Office of the State Courts Administrator, most recently as chief of innovations and outreach. He was lead staff to the Judicial Management Council and several statewide workgroups, including the Workgroup on Uncontested Probate Proceedings, where he helped develop recommendations concerning the administration of probate matters in Florida. Earlier in his career, he held legal and leadership positions with the Florida Department of Financial Services and served as an attorney with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation and the Florida Department of Children and Families.
Metz earned his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law and Bachelor of Science in Management from Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business. He has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2009.
