TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The state capital carries on with more festivities commending the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Music, along with games and ice cream, was prepared to celebrate the Constitution Day Jubilation on Thursday at the Florida Historic Capitol Museum.
The event was hosted as part of the George Experience in honor of the greater America 250 celebration and the signing of the U.S. Constitution.

Rachel Basan Porter, one of the directors at the Historic Capitol, said this is an homage to the 4th of July Jubilation event hosted in Tampa during America’s bicentennial year.
“We have little pocket Constitutions, so we hope that people have a serious take on that; it is Constitution Day,” Porter said. “So we would like for people to embrace both that and this moment to celebrate 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence and to enjoy some music, and most importantly enjoy some ice cream.”
Porter said that this is one of the last events in the experience.
