The new galleries will include photography and color woodblock prints that have appeared in previous MAACM exhibitions, alongside textiles, clocks, jewelry, and other works from the movement.
The galleries will open in phases throughout 2027 with the first expected to debut in late February.
The expansion will also include conference rooms, work rooms, offices, curator and object-work areas, and storage.
Barr&Barr is building the project, and Tampa-based Alfonso Architects, which designed the original museum with founder Rudy Ciccarello, is handling the expansion’s design.
Founded by Ciccarello and funded by the Two Red Roses Foundation, MAACM’s collection includes furniture, pottery, tiles, lighting, textiles, photography, woodblock prints, metalwork, and more.
Artists and designers represented in the collection include Gustav Stickley, Charles Rohlfs, Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis Comfort Tiffany, the Roycrofters, William Grueby, and Newcomb Pottery.
