A local fertility doctor is trading his medical equipment for a microphone to bring the smooth, timeless sounds of Frank Sinatra to downtown Orlando. Dr. Mark Trolice, who takes the stage under the name Mark Romeo, is tuning up for a major performance to serenade Central Florida for a great cause.

1. The Singing Doctor: By day, he is a dedicated fertility physician helping families grow, but by night, Dr. Mark Trolice transforms into “Mark Romeo,” a passionate crooner dedicated to keeping the Big Band era alive.

2. Sinatra-Style Serenade: For Dr. Trolice, the music of Ol’ Blue Eyes is deeply personal. “Sinatra was really the biggest influence in me, vocally,” he shared during rehearsals, adding that the best part of performing is “knowing that you’re connecting; touching them in a way that reminds them of a time.”

3. Big Band Power: “Mark Romeo” won’t be taking the stage alone. He will be backed by the powerhouse Metroplex Big Band, ensuring a rich, authentic wall of brass and rhythm to carry those classic tunes.

4. Party with a Purpose: The event is the annual “Somewhere Over the Rainbows” charity gala. Billed as a once-in-a-lifetime experience for healthcare leaders, supporters, and local families, the evening features heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and a silent auction.

5. Funding Vital Health Missions: Every song sung helps a family in need. All proceeds from the gala go directly toward raising awareness and vital funds for NICU journeys, ovarian cancer research, infertility treatments, and infant baby safety. The “Somewhere Over the Rainbows” Charity Gala is Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 5:00 PM at The Abbey. Click here for ticket info.
