BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men’s and women’s cross country head back out onto the course this Friday, in the program’s first of three trips this season to Tallahassee.

Friday morning’s Pre-Regionals meet will take place at Apalachee Regional Park, also the site of the 2026 NCAA South Regionals. The men’s 8K begins at 7:40 a.m., and the women’s 6K is scheduled for 8:20 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The squads opened the season two weeks ago, each running a 5K in Jacksonville. The women finished third in the team standings among 19 teams competing, and the men placed eighth of 18. Four new individual all-time Top 10 marks were recorded, and 10 runners made their Owl debut – six freshmen, two newcomers and two returnees.

Two other returnees set new personal records (Madison Brown and Noah Highsmith) in the night’s 5K, as did newcomer Kate Drummond in her first FAU meet – her time of 17:57.8 now ranks ninth-fastest in women’s history. Carter Dieterich led the men’s side (15:51.58), fourth now on the all-time ledger, followed closely behind by Highsmith (16:00.39, sixth) and Parker Smith (16:06.99, eighth).
