Bradley’s on 7th will reopen Monday

Silas Sampson is facing multiple charges, including vehicular homicide.

Police say he crashed into Bradley’s on 7th, where a memorial is set up outside.

President of Pride of Tampa, Daniel Johnson, organized a vigil Saturday night.

He said he’s been thinking about the families of the victims since this happened.

“My heart goes out to them, and I’m so very sorry that this happened,” he said.

Members of the community continued stopping by the memorial on Sunday, like Torin Estorino.

He brought flowers and a stone he got at an LGBTQ swap meet to pay his respects.

“The LGBTQ community in Tampa, you know, it’s very close knit,” Estorino said. “Whenever we lose even one person, it’s devastating.”

Johnson said the bar holds a special place for many in the LGBTQ community, including himself.

“When I got married five years ago, it’s one of the places we came for our bachelor party,” he said. “And pretty much any time we have someone come from a different state or out of the country, we bring them here.”

In a statement posted on Facebook by Bradley’s on 7th, they said out of respect for the family of the victims and the trauma suffered by staff, the bar will remain closed until Monday.
