PORT ST. LUCIE — The Caribbean American Cultural Group Inc. celebrated its 42nd annual gala Saturday, Sept. 5, at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center in Port St. Lucie.
Themed “A Night of Elegance and Culture,” the celebration honored Caribbean heritage and the organization’s commitment to service, fellowship and cultural preservation.
CACG members, led by Joyce Smith, SusieQ Planning & Décor, and Michelle “Mush’ Irons, transformed the banquet hall for the event.
“This is more than a celebration; it is a night of gratitude to our sponsors, community partners, members, volunteers and guests,” CACG President Dawn Bloomfield said. “For 42 years, CACG has celebrated Caribbean culture while serving and strengthening the wider community.“
Mistress of ceremonies Faye Linton guided the program with humor and professionalism. Port St. Lucie Mayor Shannon Martin offered greetings on behalf of the city and recognized CACG’s role in building community partnerships and encouraging civic engagement.
