JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County — Jacksonville City Council will hear a proposed redistricting presentation and several land-use requests during its meeting Tuesday evening.

According to the city’s agenda, council members will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, in City Hall Council Chambers.

The agenda includes public hearings on six proposed annexations totaling about 12.55 acres.

Council will also consider a zoning map amendment for property at 51 Plaza Drive.

The request would change the property’s zoning from Neighborhood Commercial to Corridor Commercial.

Other public hearings include proposed changes to temporary-use standards and several sections of the city’s Unified Development Ordinance.

Council members are also set to consider an amendment to the temporary social district ordinance for Downtown Oktoberfest.

The meeting will include a presentation on redistricting.

The agenda says action may or may not be taken following that presentation.

The public can comment during the meeting.
