TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man has pleaded guilty to bank robbery in relation to a robbery that occurred at a Regions Bank back in June, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.
James Bryant pleaded guilty to a single count of bank robbery in connection to the incident that occurred on June 22 at Regions Bank located on North Monroe Street.

The plea comes just three months after the 54-year-old entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. Bryant left the bank with over $3,000 in cash, according to Tallahassee Police.
Court documents revealed that he repeatedly told the teller not to look at him during the incident.

The teller told authorities that Bryant did not say he had a weapon, but held a bag “close to his body in a manner that made [the teller] believe the suspect was possibly concealing a weapon.”
At the time of his arrest, the Tallahassee man had over $900 in cash on him and “additional evidence connected to the robbery,” police said.
An additional arrest was made in connection to the robbery, but charges have since been dropped against a man who was suspected of being the driver in the incident.
Bryant faces up to 20 years in prison.
He’s scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 10.
