The University of Miami Business School has achieved the highest undergraduate ranking in its history, rising to No. 39 nationally in U.S. News & World Report’s 2027 Best Colleges rankings. The Business School has climbed 14 spots over the past two years, the largest increase among schools currently ranked in the top 50.
The milestone marks another major step forward for the Business School as it advances toward its ambition of becoming one of the nation’s top 20 business schools.
“This is the best undergraduate ranking in our history and another powerful sign of the momentum we are building at the University of Miami Business School,” said Paul A. Pavlou, dean of the business school. “Our faculty, staff, students, alumni and partners are building a world-class, highly personalized education that prepares students to lead, innovate and thrive. We have tremendous momentum, even greater ambition and we are just getting started.”
The Business School also earned strong marks in key undergraduate specialties. Real estate ranked No. 12 nationally, while international business rose one spot to No. 26.
The latest results add to a growing series of national recognitions for the business school. Earlier this month, the school ranked No. 21 in Niche’s 2027 Best Colleges for Business in America and also earned recognition among the nation’s top 50 programs in LinkedIn’s Top MBA Programs 2026.
The recognition comes as the Business School continues to reimagine business education for an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, rapid technological change and the enduring importance of human intelligence.
“The future is about using AI to amplify human potential,” Pavlou said. “Through our Augmented Human Intelligence initiative, the Miami Method and our commitment to personalized learning, we are preparing students to think bigger, make better decisions and turn ideas into impact. That is what higher education should deliver in the AI era.”
