Miami drivers are paying less at the pump this week, but not everyone is feeling the relief.

According to GasBuddy’s weekly survey of 1,690 stations in the Miami area, average gasoline prices fell 12.4 cents per gallon, bringing the countywide average to $2.87 today.

That’s 8.4 cents lower than a month ago and 21.6 cents lower than a year ago.

But on Key Biscayne, prices remain among the highest in Miami-Dade County, with both island stations listed at $4.49 per gallon as of Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s report. The cheapest station in the county, by comparison, was priced at $2.54.

Nationally, the average price of gasoline rose 4.8 cents in the past week, reaching $3.03 per gallon.

Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, noted that holiday travel patterns could impact future prices.

“With thousands of flight cancellations ahead of Thanksgiving due to the FAA flight cuts, there could be slight shifts in gasoline demand, which may limit any near-term declines,” he said.
