TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A woman was sentenced Tuesday in connection to a deadly 2022 street-racing, drunk-driving crash along West Tennessee Street in Tallahassee.
Vonetria Noble was sentenced to eight years in prison and one year of probation, court records show. In July, WCTV reported that she had been found guilty of DUI manslaughter and reckless driving.
Noble’s sentencing comes four years after the fatal crash took place on May 19, 2022.
A second driver, who court papers identified as Mianni Cox, died in the crash.

A Tallahassee Police investigation determined that both Noble and Cox had gone to dinner together at a restaurant located on Apalachee Parkway that evening. Noble told police that the two each had three shots of tequila at the restaurant just before having another drink together at a bar across the street before heading home, according to the court records.
However, both began racing across town at a “high rate of speed,” according to witnesses cited in the documents. The two were traveling at 85 miles per hour, an arrest report revealed.
Moments later, authorities said both drivers ran red lights at three busy intersections just before crashing.
Cox died at the scene.
