Inside the winding aisles, shoppers can explore a “treasure hunt environment” to find home decor, health and beauty products, food, books, toys and much more.

Customers, who were lined up outside the store ahead of the opening, grabbed a red shopping cart and got to bargain hunting. Some perused the food aisles, with candy, canned goods, spices, seasonings and more.

Others made their way to the back of the store to check out “Bargain Bookland,” which features a variety of novels, children’s books, coloring books, inspirational books and much more.

Ollie’s is able to offer household name products at a lower cost by using a flexible buying model, which allows the company to focus on closeout merchandise and excess inventory from from suppliers around the world, its website explains. As of this September, Ollie’s is operating more than 700 stores in 35 states with more to come.
