At the next council meeting, instead of focusing on moving one inch of water in one hour, please revisit the parking situation on the Key.
At 11:15 a.m., on Monday, Sept. 14, not one parking space was available at the Community Center after going around three times. There was no parking in any of the side streets, again purposely going around three times. I then decided to go shop at Winn-Dixie … yet again there was not one parking spot as I again went around three times.
We are not even in season yet.
Past discussions included non-resident employee parking at Calusa and using the Freebes to pick up and drop off, a three story building behind the Administration/Police building and other options can also be studied.
Plus, I am sure it will be cheaper than moving water.
