TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Hundreds of people turned out for a ribbon-cutting celebrating Tallahassee’s second senior center, a new facility city officials described as the result of years of planning and public investment.

“What a joyful morning!” organizers said in a message thanking “the hundreds of people who attended the ribbon-cutting for Tallahassee’s second senior center” and “everyone who brought this vision to life.” The facility was described as “a testament to community visioning, long-term planning and strategic public investment.”

Organizers said creating the center “took teamwork and commitment,” adding, “we could not be more pleased with the results.”
