• Parents, please tell your kids that pedestrians always have the right-of-way on a sidewalk. I’m tired of dodging electric motorized vehicles. They don’t even slow down!
• I’m watching football on TV on a rainy Sunday, and their cameras’ telescopic magnification make it look as if a tsunami-like downpour is occurring. Yet, on closeups, nobody’s helmet shows raindrops landing. Does no one operating these cameras know how to keep the lens clear from raindrops?
• I requested a ride from our local rideshare service for a 6 p.m. meeting. The location is 20-25 minutes from my apartment. I was only able to book the ride from 3:20 to 3:50, which means I would be sitting outside in the heat for an hour plus. This is the second time this has happened. I changed the time and was told no drivers were available. I will be going to the meeting at 10 times my fee. Why are we paying for this service with our tax dollars?
• What ticks me off more than anything are college football games in which scores are 60-plus to 0 or 7. What does this prove? Why embarrass a school to no end? And then you think you should have a higher ranking due to this. Please.
The flip side
• Our family has really enjoyed attending UCF football games since the program started in 1979. It was amazing to watch them beat Alabama in 2000 during the Crimson Tide’s homecoming with a score of 40-38 and a crowd of over 83,000. Don’t ever give up, guys!
