HIALEAH, Fla. — Police officers, deputies, and Florida Highway Patrol troopers followed a man driving a black sedan on Thursday in northwestern Miami-Dade County.
The pursuit was after a shirtless man with green pants pulled a woman out of her car at about 10 a.m. in the parking lot at the Palmetto General Hospital at 2001 West 68th St., in Hialeah, according to a witness.
“The suspect approached a female victim exiting her vehicle and forced himself inside her car and fled the scene,” Lt. Eddie Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Hialeah Police Department, said.
Shortly after 1 p.m., the man drove on the wrong side of road several times, and passed a school bus. Law enforcement performed several maneuvers to try to stop him.
Shortly after 1:10 p.m., law enforcement hit the car twice until spinned out, and law enforcement approached, guns drawn.
Shortly before 1:15 p.m., deputies pulled the driver out and handcuffed him at Northwest 17th Avenue and 79th Street. He was barefoot, shirtless, and wearing green pants.
Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.
