September 24, 2026 – The Chattaway reopens today under a new ownership group that includes Ferg’s owner Mark Ferguson, real estate investor Cullen Mahoney and Shrimpy’s owner John John Delladonna. The trio stepped in after the century-old Old Southeast landmark was slated to close, with Ferguson preserving the restaurant’s character, and honoring its legacy as a Southside staple.
