Jacksonville High School placed on probation, football coaches suspended after recruiting violations
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. —
Jacksonville High School has been fined and placed on probation after being found in violation of the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s recruiting rules.
The AHSAA said the school violated Rule VI, Administration, Section 12, Recruiting, as outlined in the 2026-2027 AHSAA Handbook.
As part of the penalties, any students found to have violated the rule will be permanently ineligible to participate in athletics at Jacksonville High School.
The AHSAA also suspended head football coach Jeremy Sullivan and assistant coach Phileepae Holloway from coaching in the association for one year.

The school’s varsity football program has been placed on restrictive probation for the 2026 season. The team will be allowed to play its 10-game regular-season schedule but will not be eligible for postseason competition.
Because Jacksonville High School is ineligible for championship play, games against the school will not count in the Class 4A, Region 6 standings or in any tiebreakers.
The AHSAA also ordered the school’s varsity football team to forfeit all victories in games in which the ineligible students participated.
