Goodwill shoppers in Orange County can round up to support Orlando Union Rescue Mission
Goodwill Industries of Central Florida and the Orlando Union Rescue Mission are partnering this September to help individuals experiencing homelessness through a round-up campaign at checkout.
Goodwill Industries of Central Florida (GICF) and the Orlando Union Rescue Mission (OURM) are partnering to support individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Central Florida through a month-long round-up campaign at Goodwill stores in Orange County.
Elizabeth Rice, director of the Prosperity Platform at GICF, highlighted the organization’s long-standing efforts.
Fred Clayton, president and CEO of OURM, shared the mission’s purpose and impact.
Throughout the month of September, Goodwill shoppers in Orange County can round up their purchases to the nearest dollar at checkout.
Funds raised will be donated to OURM, and GICF will match the funds raised up to $10,000.
This initiative builds on a partnership between the two nonprofit organizations that connects OURM guests with Goodwill’s Prosperity Platform, providing one-on-one coaching to help individuals identify goals, access resources and take steps toward achieving them.
