Closing arguments expected today in the 2nd-degree murder trial of a self-proclaimed witch in Broward. Forty-four-year-old Shannon Ryan took the stand in his defense, saying he has nothing to do with the death of 21-year-old Leila Cavett in July of 2020. He also denies child neglect and tampering with evidence charges. Cavett’s body has never been found, but investigators say surveillance video reportedly shows Ryan dragging a large object wrapped in black garbage bags from his truck to a dumpster in Hollywood. Her two-year-old son was found wandering alone in Miramar two days later.
