CLEMSON — Clemson’s home ACC matchup vs. Miami now has a start time.

The Tigers are set to take on the national champion runners-up Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Memorial Stadium. The game will air on ABC.

Kickoff time for the game was placed on a hold Sept. 21 to be decided after the Week 4 slate of games.

Clemson is 7-7 in the all-time series vs. Miami. The Hurricanes won the most recent matchup in 2023, a 28-20 game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. Prior to that, Clemson won the last four matchups.

Miami is 4-0 (2-0 ACC) after a 52-3 win over Central Michigan in Week 4. The Hurricanes have scored at least 30 points in every game this season with 40-plus points in three games. Duke transfer Darian Mensah and star wide receiver Malachi Toney lead the offense with the nation’s highest average yards per game.

The Tigers are 3-1 (2-0), winning three straight games since their 51-10 loss at LSU on Sept. 5.

Tait Reynolds has taken over the starting quarterback role for the last two games with wins over North Carolina and Cal. He and Clemson will face what could be its toughest matchup this season.

“They may be the best team in the country,” Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said. “I’ve seen enough of them. We’ve seen that quarterback.”

Mensah threw for 361 yards and four touchdowns in Duke’s 46-45 win against Clemson last season.

Saturday is the second primetime game for Clemson this season. The season opener at LSU was slated for kickoff on ABC at 7:30 p.m. EDT, but kicked off at 9:40 p.m. after a weather delay.

Clemson has faced a weather delay in three of four games this season, including a mid-game delay against UNC. AccuWeather currently predicts a 35% chance of thunderstorms Saturday night.
