September 28, 2026 – Tampa General Hospital has been named a Comprehensive Center of Excellence by the Lymphatic Education & Research Network. According to a prepared statement, the organization recently “secured funding to establish the Center for Lymphatic Education and Research (CLEAR), backed by the University of South Florida research office.” In December 2025, Tampa General Hospital Plastic Surgery Institute chief Dr. Nicholas Panetta led a fully robotic lymphovenous bypass, from incision to closure, using FDA-cleared NanoWrist Dissection Instruments on the Symani Surgical System.
