CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. — Quick-thinking employees at Wildwood Resort RV Park rescued three dogs and two cats from a burning RV after noticing what appeared to be an electrical issue and realizing animals were trapped inside.
As the investigation into the RV fire continues, the resort recognized employees Ciara, Braden and Nick for helping save the pets before the camper became fully engulfed in flames.
The employees saw the RV beginning to catch fire and, after hearing noises coming from inside, determined animals were inside the camper. The RV owner had left a key with resort management specifically for emergencies, allowing the employees to enter quickly and get all five pets out safely.
All five animals were rescued before the fire fully engulfed the RV, and all are safe. The resort also urged others to consider leaving an emergency key with trusted management, noting it can make a critical difference when time is limited.
