Driver dies in crash involving box truck in Martin County
MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. —
All northbound lanes of I-95 in Martin County have reopened after a 7-hour shutdown due to a crash.
The incident, which happened early Monday morning, left one person dead.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 4 a.m. north of Jupiter near Bridge Road. Investigators said the front of a car hit the back of a box truck while both vehicles were traveling northbound, causing the car to catch fire.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the box truck was not injured.
