CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A 36-year-old Fleming Island man was arrested Tuesday on seven counts of knowingly possessing and/or intentionally viewing child sexual abuse material, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Robert Rahn III was arrested following an investigation by the agency’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, with assistance from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the North Florida INTERCEPT Task Force.
Investigators served a search warrant Tuesday at a residence on Blackhawk Court in Fleming Island. Everyone inside left the home and was detained without incident, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The Sheriff’s Office said Rahn previously worked as a behavioral health assistant at Middleburg High School from August 2021 to February 2022, where he also volunteered with the football team. Investigators also believe he coached or volunteered with youth football teams in the Nassau County and Tallahassee areas.
Rahn was booked into the Clay County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
