ORLANDO, Fla. – Families looking for things to do in Orlando this fall can set sail for an underwater adventure at SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium.
Pirates of the Haunted Seas is a family-friendly Halloween event featuring a treasure hunt, pirate encounters, interactive games, educational talks and thousands of marine animals. The limited-time experience takes place Saturdays and Sundays now through Nov. 1 and is included with regular aquarium admission.
How the pirate treasure hunt works
When families arrive, they can pick up a themed treasure map and follow clues throughout the aquarium. The quest leads guests through different habitats, where they can search for hidden loot and complete pirate-themed activities.
At the end of the adventure, young pirates can receive a prize, including a pirate-themed Halloween treat bag.

Meet Captain Sebastian
One of the highlights of Pirates of the Haunted Seas is the chance to meet Captain Sebastian, a pirate who discovered the aquarium while searching for treasure on the high seas.
During the pirate meet-and-greet, each young adventurer receives a commemorative gold coin.
Pirate meet-and-greets are held Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Activities and marine life to see
The treasure hunt takes families throughout SEA LIFE Orlando, where they can encounter sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, axolotls, seahorses and other marine animals.
Visitors can also take part in activities inspired by the aquarium’s habitats, including:
