Port St. Lucie Police arrested two men, each involved in separate hit-and-run incidents within a day of each other.

Giovanny Jamicevic Karl Barthelemy, 23, identified by police as the driver of a car attempting to enter a neighborhood near Southwest Roma and Southwest Lorenzo ways, is accused of striking a teen on an e-bike, making a U-turn and fleeing, according to police in a social media post.

Barthelemy did not call 911 or help the teen. The e-bike rider was transported to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce with significant injuries, police said.

The owner of the vehicle, not Barthelemy, called 911 to report damage to it after it was returned, which led to Barthelemy being identified as the driver during the incident.

Barthelemy was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving injuries. He was booked in at the St. Lucie County Jail early Sept. 30 on $2,500 bond, according to the jail website.

A day earlier, officers attempted a traffic stop on a car near Southwest Becker Road and Southwest Hallmark Street when the driver, later identified as Christian Jeremiah Johnson, 19, fled.

He struck a traffic sign, police stated on social media.

The vehicle was later found on I-95, where Johnson was taken into custody.

He was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage; reckless driving; and driving with a suspended or revoked license. He was booked in at the St. Lucie County Jail Sept. 29 on $450 bond, according to the jail website.

No other information was immediately available Sept. 30.
