Miramar police are investigating what the department is calling a “pepper spray incident” early Wednesday afternoon at Glades Middle School.
Officers and paramedics were called to the school at Southwest 48th Court around noon and found several students experiencing minor coughing, said Janice McIntosh, a Miramar police spokeswoman. Paramedics evaluated the students “as a precaution,” but no one required hospitalization, McIntosh said.
Police did not release other details, but said there is “no ongoing threat to the school” and that the incident is under investigation.
