Layza Pinero RestoCAPE CORAL, Fla. —

Firefighters with the Cape Coral Fire Department were alerted to an interesting sight on Thursday morning.

Community members pointed them to an African spurred tortoise, or sulcata tortoise, that had made its way to the baseball field.

CCFD says that if anyone lives in the area and is missing their tortoise, it was hanging out at the Complex located at 1420 Sports Boulevard as of 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
