A dramatic editorial press photograph showing musician Caroline Kingsbury. Captured in a tight close-up portrait angled slightly upward against a pitch-black background, Kingsbury tilts her head back while staring forward with bold, avant-garde makeup. She features yellow-and-orange spiky teezed hair rising like a flame around her head, a yellow lightning-bolt accent painted across her forehead, bright red-and-yellow eyeshadow with bold eyeliner, vivid red lipstick, and a multi-row turquoise beaded choker necklace around her neck under intense studio lighting.Caroline Kingsbury Credit: Press photo

Friends from Caroline Kingsbury‘s past in Florida’s Evangelical church may be shocked to see the throngs of fans devoted to her special brand of pop music, and that’s kind of the point. A 2025 EP, Shock Treatment, is a joyous celebration of queer life that doesn’t dance around the pressures and realities for folks living that reality.

On it, the 31-year-old opens up a conversation about reverse conversion therapy to make heterosexuality taboo, all while showcasing a powerhouse vocal that landed Kingsbury on the 2025 Lollapalooza lineup.

Tickets to see Cannons and Caroline Kingsbury at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on Thursday, Oct. 8 are still available and start at $46.69.
