GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man is behind bars on attempted murder charges after shooting into an occupied vehicle and injuring a woman, according to the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO).
Deputies were notified of the shooting Monday around 6:10 p.m. in the area of Florida-Georgia Highway and Sierra Road, according to a press release from GCSO. A woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound when responding officers arrived.
That same day, the suspect Orlando Charles Kelly was identified and charged with three counts of attempted murder and one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle.

Kelly was located after surrounding witnesses reported seeing the suspect fleeing southbound on U.S. Highway 27 toward Leon County, according to GCSO.
Tallahassee Police Department then located Kelly at an apartment complex on Ocala Road in Tallahassee.

An arrest report says the shooting unfolded following a verbal and physical altercation between Kelly and the occupants of the other vehicle.
The other vehicle, a silver Camry, had three total occupants and the rear-seat passenger shared a child with Kelly. The arrest report continues that Kelly was in a black Toyota with his new girlfriend and the two vehicles were parked near a church on Sierra Road.
The vehicle occupants were engaged in an altercation and immediately after, Kelly was seen exiting the black Toyota and “fired an AR-15 style rifle twice toward the silver Camry,” the arrest report states.
As a result, the bullet traveled through the rear and front seats and struck the driver of the silver Camry, later identified as Siedah Vickers. The black Toyota was then seen fleeing the scene.
GCSO later transported Kelly to the Gadsden County Jail.
