MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. – The Sunshine Skyway Bridge will once again host runners and walkers in person.
The SunSky 10k is set to take place on Sunday, March 21, 2027, event organizers announced Wednesday.
The 6.2-mile race follows the northbound lanes of Interstate 275 across the Skyway Bridge, where participants will climb 200 feet above Tampa Bay. Proceeds benefit multiple military and first responder nonprofit organizations.
The 2025 version of the race was held virtually as construction was going on at Tropicana Field (a staging area for the race) for repairs to the facility and lot after Hurricane Milton.
Registration for the event opens Oct. 5. The race is open to ages 12 and up and will be limited to 8,000 participants.
Registration is $100.
