An investigation is underway after a pickup truck crashed into a home in Miami on Thursday, Miami Police said.
Officers responded to the incident at 8:43 p.m. near Northwest 12th Avenue and Northwest 27th Street. The pickup truck hit a utility pole before slamming into the home, police said.
A man who lives in the home told NBC6 he was not there when the crash happened but was told the driver had made a U-turn and then attempted to avoid hitting another vehicle.
Family members, including children, were inside the home at the time of the crash, the resident said. No injuries were reported.
Miami Police said a room in the house that was hit by the vehicle is completely destroyed.
It remains unclear whether any charges will be filed as the investigation continues.
