2 more arrested in the 2025 Facebook Marketplace armed robbery

  • October 3, 2026

HILLSBOROUGH, Fla. (WWSB) – Hillsborough County deputies have arrested two more men in connection with an armed robbery that began as a Facebook Marketplace sale outside a Riverview office park in 2025.

Deputies said a man met with two buyers in November 2025 at the Bell Creek Professional Park complex in Riverview.

Once there, investigators believe the suspected buyers pulled out a pistol and a rifle, robbed the man at gunpoint and fired shots as he ran away.

The victim was not injured.

Syrus Pentecost was previously arrested and is now in Florida State Prison for his role in setting up the robbery, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

After months of investigation, detectives last week obtained arrest warrants for Michael Moore and Daniel Yanacheck.

The sheriff’s office said Yanacheck was later found by Manatee County deputies hiding in an attic at a home in Bradenton, where investigators also allegedly recovered one of the guns believed to have been used in the robbery.

Sheriff Chad Chronister discussed the case and the arrests in a video posted on the agency’s Facebook page.

Following the incident, deputies are urging anyone who buys or sells items online to make the exchange at a designated Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Safe Space, during daylight hours and never alone.
