The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority says the 727 Airport Shuttle will provide express rides between downtown St. Petersburg and Tampa International Airport.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A new way to travel to and from Tampa International Airport is coming to St. Petersburg.
The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority will launch the 727 Airport Shuttle on Sunday, Oct. 4.
The shuttle will provide regular daily rides between downtown St. Pete and TPA, according to PSTA. The buses will primarily use Interstate 275, including the new express lanes on the Howard Frankland Bridge.

A map released by PSTA shows nine planned stops, beginning in front of the St. Pete Pier, to pick up and drop off passengers.

The 727 Airport Shuttle will make 15 scheduled round trips per day, starting at the pier at 4:20 a.m. and finishing there at 11:04 p.m. You can plan your trip and track your bus in real time on the PSTA Transit app.
The buses will also connect passengers directly with the SunRunner, which provides rides between downtown St. Pete and St. Pete Beach.
The 727 Airport Shuttle is PSTA’s second airport route. The agency currently runs the on-demand Grouper Airport Express, which can transport groups of up to eight people between Clearwater Beach and St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE).
