Hillsborough deputies say the man was running a psychedelics business via Facebook Marketplace.

RIVERVIEW, Fla. — A Riverview man was arrested after Hillsborough County deputies say he was running a psychedelics business on Facebook Marketplace.

On Thursday, Oct. 1, investigators with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office’s opioid overdose unit searched the home of Zachary Diaz, located on the 5500 block of Coolidge Street in Riverview.

They found 131 live plants containing hallucinogens, including approximately 50 pounds of mescaline-containing cacti, or peyote, and 1.5 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, along with multiple cultivation and manufacturing supplies.
