Don’t forget the umbrella Monday ☔

  • October 5, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Our Flood Watch was extended through Monday evening as waves of showers roll across the region. Meteorologist Cameron Aaron breaks down your forecast.

Tonight Through Monday Night

Scattered downpours will stick around to close out the weekend. Is it going to rain all night? No, but passing showers are possible under a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Lows fall into the low-70s.

Another gloomy, wet day is on tap to kick off the work week. Be sure to pack the umbrella as you head out the door. Rounds of rain and a few thunderstorms are likely under a partly to mostly cloudy sky.

We are not anticipating severe weather, but some heavier rain pockets are possible. Because of recent rain, this could lead to some localized flooding, especially in low-lying areas.

Our flooding threat isn’t widespread, but a Flood Watch is in place for most of the region through 8 p.m. Monday, just in case.

Because of the showers and clouds, most of us only top out in the upper-70s.

Scattered showers linger into Monday night under a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Lows bottom out in the low-70s.

Middle Of The Week

Tuesday is looking a little raw across the Big Bend and South Georgia. Again, scattered showers are possible under a partly to mostly cloudy sky. We’re also keeping tabs on a breezy wind. We could see winds up to 25 mph at times. With the wind, clouds and showers, temperatures struggle to make it into the mid-70s. Lows bottom out in the mid-and-upper-60s.

By Wednesday, models are starting to trend drier. An isolated shower is possible, but most of us are turning drier under a partly cloudy sky. We stay breezy with winds up to 25 mph at times. Highs reach the low-80s, with lows in the lower-60s.

Thursday is looking mostly dry and breezy under a mix of Sun and clouds. Temperatures top out in the low-to-mid-80s, and lows bottom out in the low-60s.

Extended Forecast & Tropical Update

Looking ahead, we are monitoring another potential push of tropical moisture to end the week and move into next weekend.

A broad area of low pressure could develop in the southern Gulf by the middle of the week. The National Hurricane Center is giving this spot a 40% chance of tropical formation. Some good news, models are not super impressed with the potential intensity of this low pressure system as it drifts to the north.

**If anything develops**, it likely stays weak and disorganized. Still, it could bring more wet weather to the northern Gulf coast in about six to seven days.

As always, we will keep an eye on it and keep you posted.
