From Artemis to end zone: Jacksonville’s Christina Koch captains the Eagles

PHILADELPHIA — Jacksonville-raised NASA astronaut Christina Koch served as an honorary captain for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

The Eagles shared photos of Koch at Lincoln Financial Field before the team’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

The team called its honorary captain “out of this world” in a social media post.

Koch grew up in Jacksonville and attended White Oak High School.

NASA says she was part of the Artemis II mission earlier this year.

Her visit was also part of NASA’s Inspiration Tour.
