MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – A 59-year-old inmate in the custody of the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office died Saturday night while hospitalized at Manatee Memorial Hospital.
The sheriff’s office identified the inmate as McArthur Boston.
Boston was in custody for a probation violation related to weapons charges and a hold for the U.S. Marshals Service.
According to MCSO, Boston was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital on October 2 after his health began to decline. His condition continued to worsen due to multiple underlying medical conditions, and he was placed in a medically induced coma.
Boston died around 11 p.m. Saturday from medical complications related to his health conditions.
The sheriff’s office said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
