FORT PIERCE — The sky over downtown Fort Pierce became the stage Friday night as Pursuit Boats marked its 50th year with a spectacular 300-drone light show.

The custom aerial performance transformed the night sky above the waterfront into a moving canvas of boats, marine images and glowing shapes. Created by Aerial Illuminations, the show began at 8 p.m. as the finale to Friday Fest at Marina Square.

From the Fort Pierce City Marina and nearby walkways, spectators watched the illuminated drones sweep, shift and form three-dimensional images overhead.

The performance ended with Pursuit’s “Made for Generations” message.

The evening also served as a thank-you to the employees, dealers, owners and Treasure Coast community that have been part of Pursuit’s story.

Pursuit began in 1977 when Leon Slikkers launched the brand as a saltwater fishing line within S2 Yachts. The company established a Fort Pierce facility in 1983 and has expanded its local manufacturing operations over the years.
