From vampire dinners and murder mysteries to spooky cocktails, here’s where to eat and drink in Miami and Fort Lauderdale this October 2026.
Miami restaurants don’t do Halloween halfway. Putting a plastic skeleton behind the bar and calling it spooky season does not cut it. This October, restaurants, bars, and hotels across South Florida are staging murder mysteries, transforming into vampire lairs, and even inviting dogs to show up in costume.
Options exist for nearly every level of Halloween commitment. You can watch Hocus Pocus beneath the palms with a bag of popcorn, solve a murder over a three-course dinner. Or, you can even dress your dog for brunch, or eat and dance with vampires until 2 a.m.
And because Miami rarely confines a celebration to its designated holiday, the festivities begin weeks before October 31. Here are the Halloween food and drink events worth getting dressed up for this year. Let’s paint the town red…
Room 901 is going full-blown “Carrie” for Halloween 2026
‘Carrie’ takes over Room 901 in Fort Lauderdale
Fifty years after Carrie White’s prom night went spectacularly wrong, Fort Lauderdale’s Room 901 is throwing another one. What could possibly go wrong? From October 8 through Halloween, the hidden speakeasy inside Hyatt Centric Las Olas will transform into a Carrie-inspired 1970s prom. It’ll feature red-and-black décor, candlelight, dramatic florals, and a retro soundtrack. Sip sinister cocktails like the Prom Punch and compete for prom superlatives. Plus, watch for a certain blood-covered prom dress lurking behind the speakeasy’s hidden door. Room 901 at Hyatt Centric Las Olas. 100 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale; roomnine01.com. October 8 through 31.
