Tyrona Clark-Murray was suspended for 10 days without pay amid HR investigation (WJXT)
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Councilwoman Tyrona Clark-Murray has been suspended from her teaching duties at Alfred Dupont Middle School amid a Duval County Public Schools human resources investigation into alleged inappropriate physical contact.
The suspension is for 10 days without pay.
The action follows an ongoing DCPS human resources investigation. In May, the district confirmed Clark-Murray had been removed from classroom duties and temporarily reassigned to a role as an ESE Site Coach (CSS) with no student contact while the investigation continued.
A DCPS board member said at the time that the reassignment involved alleged inappropriate physical contact. The district did not identify the incident and said it would not provide further information during the active investigation.
News4JAX approached Clark-Murray last week for comment. She declined.
We are working to learn more about the suspension.
