Oktoberfest Tampa organizers do not want you walking around in waterlogged lederhosen, so their big downtown party set for this weekend is now rescheduled for one of the biggest party weekends of the year.

Originally scheduled for Friday-Sunday, Oct. 11, the festival is changing plans now that Hurricane Isaias is headed towards the panhandle, and dropping rain on the Tampa Bay area for the next three days.

Now the city’s largest, now 17-years-running celebration of craft beer and German libations is happening at the same time as Halloween.

In an email, reps for Oktoberfest Tampa said they’re working with the City of Tampa and staging the 2026 edition on Friday-Sunday, Oct. 30-Nov. 1, still at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

Tickets for the original date—including those bought at discount via CL deals—are still being honored.

“The event and all activities will stay the same,” organizers told CL.

For the uninitiated, Oktoberfest Tampa is a revered celebration that started at a yet-to-be-developed Armature Works and then transitioned to the Curt just a short walk south on the Tampa Riverwalk.

Traditional German beers—think pilsner, märzen, dunkel, hefeweizen, radler, and Oktoberfest—are the stars of the lineup, and come from both German breweries and the ones in our backyard (St. Pete’s Green Bench Brewing Co. always does a custom brew). Pours are big, too, including Das Boot options.

It includes fun traditions like stein hoist, brat and sack toss, wench carrying, hammer swings, and more. Folks with facial hair might as well get a start on Movember and enter Oktoberfest Tampa’s beard and mustache competition, too.

Tickets for the rescheduled Oktoberfest Tampa happening Friday-Sunday, Oct. 30-Nov. 1 are still available and start at $10.
