Week seven saw Belen further solidify its position as the state’s No. 1 boys’ team and a No. 11 nationally, with Marcelo Mantecon making a statement as the nation’s No. 1-ranked boy. The Florida boys’ and girls’ individual and team rankings saw little change.
Week eight of the Florida High School Cross Country season is underway, and it may be sloppy. The largest meet in the state, the FSU Invitational/Pre-State, was unfortunately canceled due to Hurricane Isaias. I am not aware of any other meet cancellations besides Tallahassee, but please check with the Meet Directors if you have concerns.
The regular season ends in three weeks on October 31st, with Districts slated for November 2-7.
Below are the weekend’s scheduled meets, links to the top girls’ and boys’ performances from week seven, and the State Individual Rankings and results from this weekend’s meets as they become available.
