Television host/entrepreneur Hazely Lopez emceed Empowerment on the Runway: “Bold Steps, Bright Futures,” where more than a dozen fundraisers modeled fall fashions from Dillard’s and Men’s Wearhouse on Aug. 30 at Higgins Hall. Netta McKissic-Stroman topped them all — netting more than $18,000 individually, with the event overall raising $50,000 — to help serve more than 2,500 women this year.
