Overall, is Pompano Beach on the right track or the wrong track, and why?
I believe Pompano Beach has made meaningful progress, particularly in economic development, infrastructure and investment in our community. At the same time, continued growth must be balanced with the needs of existing neighborhoods.

As Pompano continues to develop, the City should remain focused on infrastructure, traffic, drainage, public safety, parks, environmental protection and maintaining residents’ quality of life. Progress should benefit the entire community, including neighborhoods that may not be directly connected to major redevelopment projects.

I support thoughtful growth that is transparent, financially responsible and responsive to residents.

If you are elected or re-elected, would you support or oppose the retention of City Manager Greg Harrison, and why?
My position would be based on the City Manager’s performance, accountability, communication with residents and ability to effectively deliver city services.

I believe city leadership should be evaluated on measurable results, fiscal responsibility, responsiveness and the needs of residents. I also believe professionalism and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and the community are essential to effective local government. When our leadership works together respectfully and effectively, the entire community benefits.

Does Pompano have a problem with overdevelopment, yes or no, and why?
Yes.

I support responsible redevelopment, but growth must be balanced with the needs of existing residents. Development should be considered alongside traffic, infrastructure capacity, drainage, public safety, parks, environmental resources and neighborhood character.

Residents should have meaningful opportunities to understand proposed projects and participate in the process. I believe Pompano can continue to grow while being thoughtful about where and how that growth occurs.

List in order of importance the three most important issues in your district and briefly explain what you would do about each.
1. Infrastructure and quality of life.
Residents deserve properly maintained roads, sidewalks, drainage systems and safe transportation routes. I would advocate for stronger follow up on reported problems and clear communication about timelines and solutions.

2. Responsible development.
District 2 is experiencing continued development. I would support evaluating projects based on their impact on surrounding neighborhoods, infrastructure, traffic, drainage, environmental resources and quality of life.

3. Parks, recreation and community engagement.
District 2 needs parks and recreational opportunities that residents know about, can access and actually use. I would support evaluating participation, improving outreach and making our parks stronger gathering places for families and neighbors.

Do you support or oppose Amendment 3, and why?
My position is based on the potential effect the amendment could have on homeowners, local government revenues and the City’s ability to provide essential services. I believe voters should have clear information about both the potential tax impact and the potential effect on municipal budgets before making their decision.

Do you generally support or oppose the planned “new downtown,” and why?
I support continued investment in Pompano Beach while emphasizing responsible planning, financial accountability and meaningful community participation.

The New Downtown is a significant long-term project involving government facilities, infrastructure, economic development and community spaces. As the project moves forward, residents should continue to receive clear information about costs, timelines and community benefits.

I also want local businesses, workers and residents to have meaningful opportunities to participate in the economic opportunities created by the project.

Can you cite a program or service in your city that in your opinion is wasteful or unnecessary?
I would not identify a specific program as wasteful without first reviewing its participation, cost and measurable results.

However, I believe Parks and Recreation programs and services in District 2 should be regularly evaluated to ensure residents know what is available and that taxpayer-funded programs are reaching the people they are intended to serve.

Programs with low participation should be reviewed to determine whether the issue is the program itself, limited outreach, scheduling or lack of awareness. Our goal should be to make the best possible use of public resources while providing meaningful opportunities for residents.

Do you support or oppose the use of surveillance cameras known as LPRs or license plate readers in your city, and what changes would you support?
I believe we should expect transparency.

Public safety and individual privacy both matter. Any use of license plate readers should have clear policies governing their purpose, access, data retention, security and oversight.

Residents should be able to understand how the technology is being used, who can access the information and how long information is retained. I would support appropriate safeguards, transparency and accountability while recognizing the legitimate role technology can play in public safety.

Like all cities and counties, Pompano Beach must comply with a new state law (SB 1134) that prohibits funding or promoting diversity, equity and inclusion policies. Do you support or oppose this law and what impact will it have?
My focus as a local elected official would be to comply with state law while ensuring that City services remain accessible, professional and available to every resident.

I believe residents should be treated fairly and with respect, and that local government should remain focused on delivering effective public services to the entire community.

What factor most distinguishes you from your opponent(s) and why?
My background is rooted in direct community involvement. I have spent significant time participating in neighborhood, school, civic and community activities and listening to residents about the issues affecting their daily lives.

I believe local government works best when elected officials remain accessible to residents, communicate clearly and stay engaged with the neighborhoods they represent. My approach is grassroots and community-focused, with an emphasis on listening first and working collaboratively to address practical issues.

List in reverse chronological order colleges or universities attended with years of attendance and degrees.

List in reverse chronological order your work history for the past 15 years.
I have been fortunate to have a hardworking, blue collar husband who has supported me and the work I do in our community. That support has allowed me to dedicate significant time to community service, civic involvement and helping local residents.

Have you ever been a party to a lawsuit, including bankruptcy or foreclosure? If so, provide details of the case and disposition.
No.

Have you ever been charged or convicted of a felony or misdemeanor, including an adjudication of guilt withheld? If so, provide charges, dates and terms of sentence.
No.

Why should voters elect you instead of your opponent(s)?
I believe voters should consider my record of community involvement, my understanding of District 2 neighborhoods and my commitment to listening to residents and addressing practical issues.

I am approaching this campaign as an opportunity to bring greater attention to neighborhood concerns and to participate constructively in the City’s future. My priorities are responsible growth, strong neighborhoods, infrastructure, public safety, parks and meaningful communication between residents and their local government.

I believe District 2 deserves an accessible and engaged representative who will listen to residents, ask questions, work collaboratively and remain focused on the needs of the community.
