Upcoming scheduled closures in Central Florida for the Moving I-4 Forward program were announced by the Florida Department of Transportation.
FDOT has scheduled the closures to support ongoing construction activities for the Moving I-4 Forward Program.
Planned activities and schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Nightly intermittent lane closures will be in effect in either direction along Interstate 4 (I-4) throughout the duration of the Program.
Motorists should maintain a safe speed, use caution, and avoid distractions while navigating construction zones.
Upcoming scheduled closures from FDOT include:
Ramp Closures: State Road (S.R.) 417 southbound to I-4 westbound and I-4 westbound to World Drive (Exit 62)
October 12th-13th (Monday night/Tuesday morning and Tuesday night/Wednesday morning)

Detour information:
For I-4 westbound from S.R. 417 southbound, take Exit 2 for Celebration Avenue to U.S. 192. Turn right onto Celebration Avenue toward U.S. 192/I-4 East, then turn left onto U.S. 192 westbound. Continue on U.S. 192 for approximately 1 mile, then take the exit for I-4 West toward Tampa.
For World Drive from I-4 westbound (Exit 62),
Ramp Closures: Exit ramp to S.R. 417 northbound/World Drive northbound from I-4 eastbound (Exit 62B) and from World Drive to the Collector-Distributor (C-D) Road
October 14th
Overnight, 11:00pm to 5:00am

Detour information:
For S.R. 417 northbound from I-4 eastbound, continue on I-4 eastbound past Exit 62 and the World Drive interchange. Once on the Collector-Distributor Road, stay right to access the ramp to S.R. 417 North.
For S.R. 417 northbound from the World Drive/Celebration Boulevard intersection, continue traveling northeast on Celebration Boulevard. In approximately 2.2 miles, turn left onto Celebration Place, turn right onto Celebration Avenue, and turn left to access the ramp to S.R. 417 North.
For World Drive northbound from I-4 eastbound, take Exit 62A toward Celebration to access World Drive southbound. Make a U-turn at Celebration Boulevard.
For I-4 eastbound from World Drive at Celebration Boulevard,
Ramp Closure: I-4 westbound Collector-Distributor (C-D) Road/S.R. 417 southbound exit ramp to World Drive southbound
October 14th-15th and October 18th-21st

For World Drive southbound from I-4 westbound, take Exit 62 (Disney World/Celebration). In approximately 1 mile, take the exit to World Drive northbound toward Disney World. In approximately 0.75 miles, make a U-turn to begin traveling on World Drive southbound toward Celebration.
For World Drive southbound from the I-4 westbound C-D Road/S.R. 417 southbound,
Ramp Closure: I-4 westbound Collector-Distributor (C-D) Road at World Drive and S.R. 417 southbound to I-4 westbound

For I-4 westbound from the I-4 westbound C-D Road/S.R. 417 southbound, exit to World Drive northbound toward Disney World. Continue on World Drive northbound for approximately 0.75 miles and make a U-turn to begin traveling on World Drive southbound, then take the exit to I-4 West toward Tampa.
Road Closure: I-4 eastbound lanes from ChampionsGate Boulevard (County Road (C.R.) 532) to S.R. 429
October 19th

To continue on I-4 eastbound, take Exit 58 (Poinciana/Kissimmee) and exit to ChampionsGate Boulevard (C.R. 532) eastbound. Next, turn left onto northbound Old Lake Wilson Road. Continue on Old Lake Wilson Road for approximately 2 miles, then turn left onto Sinclair Road toward S.R. 429. Turn left and take the ramp to S.R. 429 southbound, then take Exit 1 to access the on-ramp to I-4 East toward Orlando.
To access S.R. 429 northbound, take Exit 58 (Poinciana/Kissimmee) and exit to ChampionsGate Boulevard (C.R. 532) eastbound. Next, turn left onto northbound Old Lake Wilson Road. Continue on Old Lake Wilson Road for approximately 2 miles, then turn left onto Sinclair Road toward S.R. 429. Turn right onto Connector Road and then turn left and take the ramp to S.R. 429 North toward Apopka.
Ramp Closure: World Drive southbound on-ramp to I-4 westbound
October 20th-21st and October 25th-26th

For I-4 westbound from World Drive southbound, take the exit to U.S. 192 toward Orlando. Keep left to merge onto U.S. 192 eastbound. Continue on U.S. 192 and keep right to take the exit to I-4 toward Orlando and Tampa. Keep right to merge onto I-4 West toward Tampa.
For I-4 westbound from World Drive northbound,
