A Tamarac man is accused of stabbing his mother to death on Friday night, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a reported stabbing on the 5300 block of NW 28th Avenue at around 7:45 p.m., the Broward Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. They found 58-year-old Ylda Cabello-Ynocente with multiple stab wounds; she died at the home.

Her son, Manuel Farfan-Cabello, 28, was also at the home, the sheriff’s office said. Detectives determined that he killed his mother, although the statement did not include details on how they arrived at that conclusion.

Farfan-Cabello faces one count of first-degree murder, the sheriff’s office said. He was being held without bond Sunday at the Broward Main Jail. He doesn’t have an attorney listed yet.
